The Sitting Room and the Dining Room are joined by open double doors, providing light to the interior of the building throughout the day. One can sit and read or just relax in the wicker chairs at the table in the bay window. Outside the bay windows is a Japanese maple which is green most of the year, but turns amber in the fall and then sheds its leaves in the winter. Couches and chairs are arranged around a fireplace. A thick oriental carpet under the couches gives the room an atmosphere of comfort.
